Default Varsity Football!

Well, I doubt any of you know but i wil be a sophmore at my highschool. I go to a rather large highschool with a pretty good football team. The varsity coach has been thinking about moving me up to the varsity team to play Inside linebacker. I still dont know if im on the team 100%. Today we have the lift-a-thon (we pretty much just test our max bench, squat, etc.) i hope to do 250 pounds on bench and 375-400 on squat. Well i just thought i would let some of you guys know what im about.

We are in the second best division in our area. Next year we are going to move up to the harder division which should prove to be a troublesome task.

Do you guys do dead lifts in your lift a thon? That was one of our events besides bench, squat, dips, and jerk and pulls. I hope you make it man. Good luck.

No, but we do that during our workout. At our Lift-a-Thon we did 15 yard dash, 15 yard shuttle run(steeler drill), vertical jump, and benchpress. For benchpress i only could put up 230 pounds, my arm came out of the socket a little the other day but it went right back in, although it is still somewhat sore. For vertical i got 27 inches, and i forget about the other two. Those are some pretty good numbers considering im only 15 and weigh 215lbs. Im still working though. Starting tomorrow we start practice, they go from 7:15 AM to 3:00 PM. Thats one long day of football. But hey, you gotta love the sport.

Nice job man, keep working on it. By the time your a senior (when it really matters) you'll be a beast just like I was. I was your weight throughout highschool but my chub turned into muscle real quick after i started to lift alot. I played on the line, both ways, pretty much any position. Even had a couple of catches at tight end. For 15 your doing good though.

Thanks man, i appreciate it. Right now i bet i only have about 10-15 pounds of fat. But im getting leaner. It'* getting pretty hard, we are starting to get physical. A few weeks ago my shoulder came out partially and went back in. That shoulder is still bothering me somewhat. Im gonna have to get it looked at.
