I thought the same way but he passed TWO polygraph tests and the parents each passed one also. The cd is very odd and the only thing I can think of is the hacker was only able to see it as an available drive and didn't realize it was a burner at first.

again, the skeptic. the polygraph got it wrong.

keep in mind: you have no idea how the questions were phrased. even if youre told "he passed a polygraph" - you dont know what the questions were.

and a polygraph only works if you know youre lying.

btw - the kid is on 18 months probation, not in jail.
But if he had poor parents that couldn't afford the lawyers he would be in prison for a very long time.

Guys, I can personally confirm that this does happen. Fortunately, I caught it before the cops did, and I know a nasty customer who keeps a collection of computer viruses on disc that go all the way back to Atari and Tandy computers. He helped me by tracing the hacker and reversing the trick. That dude is now most likely serving some hard time for having several gigs worth of animal **** on his hard drive when we called the local cops on him. Not to mention whatever evidence was left of the viruses and spoofs he was using to hack the firewalls.

Animal ****? Dear god, people, why would someone stoop that low? Just loose some weight, comb your hair, get some nice clothes on and find a chick. Jesus Christ...
