Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Unfooking believable.

Fookit, it'* the lounge. Not visible to the public. Only to logged-in members.

This guy was very interested. Just emailed him more hi-res'er shots. Vancouver, WA, but willing to come down and see it. About 1.5 hours away.

This guy comes down with 800, I tell him I've already got 2 offers at 850, it books at 1350, he'* not leaving without dropping 900. That'* my plan. Anyone that drives that far for a car in this price range already knows he/she is going to buy it.

Im interested in the honda and i was wondering on how low you would go on the price.
Like I'm going to tell you that.

I've had two offers of $800 and two offers of $850 so far in the last two days. The book value is $1350 in fair condition and is discounted for the minor issues.

At this point, the first $850 or higher cash-carrying buyer takes the car.

Does that guy think you're a moron?

"Duh...well...I'll go as low as $500"

OK, I'll take it!

If all else fails you can just slap a wing on it, some big rims, and a fart can muffler. In New York you could even get $2,000 if it was pre riced out! Just metion of the craigslist add that you did a performance tune-up!

craigslist does bring out the crazies.

I put my old beater '97 Altima on craigslist after the tranny went, and wasn't worth fixing. I wrote "first $300 cash takes it."

No sooner than hitting the enter button was my phone ringing off the hook (lesson 1...NEVER list your phone number)

Guys were wanting to come from all over San Diego county for it. I told them all the same thing, "here'* my address, first guy shows up with $300 cash gets it."

Five dudes show up all at the same time--there was literally a rumble in the cul-de-sac, with cash flying all over the place. I almost had to call the cops. Using my limited Espanol, I finally figured out which guy was the first to call, and he "won." I hung out in the driveway with a phone in one hand and an aluminum t-ball bat in the other until everyone left, just to make sure there were no "sore losers."

I discovered that when you try to de-list the ad, it takes a few days. Even after editing the ad, REMOVING my phone number, AND adding another ad later saying "IT'* SOLD," I still had knuckleheads calling me a week later about the car (lesson 2...never EVER EVER list your phone number!!!)

Did I mention, NEVER list your phone number?
