an uncensored Bush
Bush giving the finger. "the one fingered victory salute"

Cool. Just a reminder that the candidates are human, and not robot.
|
LOL. Politics are getting on my nerves. I have those stupid people calling my house non-stop saying "Bush is better than Kerry." Boy that's getting annoying.
|
|
Ya, he's definitly human, but that finger was in the wrong context. Still funny though.

Careful, Jim. You're playing with sharks... A friendly reminder to be careful about talking about politics. You never know who might think differently ;) |
I'll swim with the big boys...I'm not to worried, bear in mind I have never stated my preferences, just hinted at my displeasure with the current leadership of the US.

then that was one huge hint  |
True that, Jeanie :)

newest msn display picture
how bad could that be for him if it went mainstream before tuesday |
It's so stupid... hell, I'd vote for him BECAUSE he did that! Shows he's a real frigging person and not some robotic, immoral, uncaring, unfeeling politician.
Now THAT's a hint, Jim ;) |
He's the most "normal guy" president i've known in my life. So what if he can't say everything exactly down to MLA style every second. I sure as hell can't.
And how old is this? I mean seriously, he looks 10 years younger. I am voting based on Economics, Things like Foreign policy, abortion, what have you, all fall into place, and are not ulitmatly under the control of the president. Specific troop deployments near weapon caches, are NOT the presidents responsibility, and he cannot be blamed. |

It looked like him back when he was governor perhaps.

I thought we weren't supposed to argue about politics...

HERE HERE! ALL HAIL ALEX, THE NON-BUSH, NON-KERRY CANDIDATE! WOOHOO!
|
Yea, and im not a friggin hippy like Nadar.
|
okay
I find it interesting to see just how polarized the US is right now, and you want a hint, I voted Liberal in Canada, always have always will. So obviously conservative thinking rubs me the wrong way regardless of the candidate. |
And I'm a conservative, always will vote that way, as long as there are only two viable parties in this f***ed-up country :shake:
I'd seriously vote Nader if it wasn't such a damn close election, and I wasn't so afraid Kerry would win. However, I still like Bush, unlike alot of people who would argue that line of reasoning the other way  I think Nader's wacked, but if enough fed-up people "threw" their vote away, we'd have a third party with, *gasp*, a substantial portion of the vote! All it takes is %5 of the country's vote to be given to a particular party for federal funding to be granted for that party, people. I heard Perot got %4 in '92. See? it's possible! It's a long shot, for sure, but it's the only shot our country has, in the end. And once there's a third party, there'll be a fourth party, then a fifth, then a sixth, even. Then, we'll see parties that are, through competition, forced to do things right. At least to a degree  Still, it's better than this frigging system we have now! A friend told me that Finland, his parents' native land, has somewhere around 26 different major parties! See what I mean? Here's rooting for that third party: May it's chance at causing change come very soon... Okay, that's my rant for today :P But, hey, at least it's a meaningful one this time, hehe :) |

Nobody is going to stand around and just accept things easily even though, after Tuesday, we have to all still live with eachother (meaning US population in general). I know there are people out there that don't want to see the election go my way, and I'm scared if it goes their way, but I think we all agree that no matter how much we debate and anticipate there is only one thing that matters, so US citizens (over 18, of course)-GO VOTE! :) (Lots of rambling, one little post.... ) |
I think the partisanship is horrid. I vote based on economics, and after many economics classes, i know what I want, and it's not from my teachers, it's my opinion on what this country should be.
Jim y our country is more liberal then the US to start, and you already have much in place that makes that work well. I think Canada is run well, and should continue what they're doing. However many things cannot transfer to our country. I don't try to sway people's opinions, i'll only correct them if they have bad facts. Everyone should vote for who they want, that's the whole point of the system. I'm eager to see who wins this time around. |

I vote straight on economics too, as well as healthcare and environment. I am a very liberal person, but either party can sway me in their direction, as long as they have the right plans or ideas. |
Well said, Jeanie :) And if you call that ranting, I think you need to hang around my posts a little more  It was concise and well-written. Again, kudos Jeanie :)
Also, smashing job at refusing to state your political preferences ;) Best way to avoid the controversy is not to enter it! I already got your vote pegged, though, just to let you know ;) |
Ooooh, and she called you Jimmy, Jim :P I think that requires some sort of retaliation, don't you think?
|
:bluetwitch: Dude! I know! oh well, she thinks shes allowed to and there is only one that is REALLY allowed too..heheh
But back on track, despite the partisan nature of this election and the electoral system in the US, its neat to know that some people can see past the name calling and finger pointing and vote based on the real issues. |

According to this Sunday in the NFL, since GreenBay beat Washington, Kerry will take the election.
|
I really can not wait until this whole election is over with. My opinion is that I don't know either of these guys. They both want the position and that they are saying they will do this or that. I just want to know hw can we all trust in someone that we barely know?

Well, so far this week I gotten phone calls from George Bush, Rudy Guliaini, Laura Bush, Arnold Swartzeneger and Dick Cheaney. I must be one popular SOB. I need to save these messages and play them for my grand kids someday to show them that the ol' man was sometheing back in the day. 8)
btw, I get these calls because of my party affiliation...go Bush |

Apparantly this is how it works... Washington Redskins fate has been tied to the incumbent candidate. Everytime since they started in washington, and Lost the game before election, the incumbent president has lost the election. Everytime they won the game before election, the incumbant won the election.
|
I hope that stupid shit stops here. Enough said.
