Default U.*. 666, Devil'* Highway, Signs Stolen

Just keeping up on some odd current events. Check this out.

U.*. 666, Devil'* Highway, Signs Stolen

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...evil_s_highway

I love the part where they talk about a ebay sale "One seller on the Internet auction site eBay purported to have a number of the U.*. 666 signs" I check ebay and this is all I found. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=13776 The quotes match up between the ebay auction and the report but this auction states that this sign is his only one. How can this report say "purproted to have a number of U.*. 666 signs."

It is probably the writer of the report running the auction, she released his story to promote the auction. As you can see she includes ebay'* web address in her report, also check the auction time. The auction started 7-19-03 3:28 PDT and the report was released on 7-19-03 3:37 PM ET. If I am thinking right because of the time zones the report was released 4 hours before the auction was even started. So how did she get an exact quote. :?:

Different ebay auction now. The seller moved it to a 3day auction. I guess he wants it gone quick.

Ok, let'* steal signs that we pay for with our taxes, then waste law enforcement resources by giving them the runaround.

Not my cup of tea. I hope they get busted bigtime with the goods.

He is going to make a killing on it. When I posted the link for the 3 day auction it was at $77.00 now it is at $133.50. In 1hr 15min it went up $56.50 and it has only been listed for 9 hours. I also see he added to his description.

THIS IS *NOT* some stolen sign (like those featured on CNN). If you look carefully, you will see that this sign is in perfect shape (obviously NOT weathered) and more importantly the two holes where it would be attached to a sign post HAVE NOT been punctured or used at all! I know there are several articles in the news recently about the theft of these signs, however, this sign is NOT one of the "used" signs that were taken from the actual highway. It may have been produced after the highway name was changed, I don't know, but I believe it is certainly authentic! A must have for any collector so don't miss out! Anyways.. here is the original description: Heading down the highway to hell? Might as well have a road sign!!!
Why would you take the risk of putting something like this on ebay. That is just plan stupid. Of course there is no better time with all the publicity.

I hope they get busted bigtime with the goods.
I'll take hime out.

Exactly. It doesn't make any sense. Criminals are STUPID!!! Of course they probably don't pay taxes anyways, so its not like it matters.

$154.50 Maybe we can start stealling road signs. Dang one of these and we could buy all the decals we need.
