TV question for Canadians
Theres a couple of shows that I watch that were filmed in Canada, The Red Green show ( I used to watch it on PBS, reruns online now) and The Trailer Park Boys (again, reruns online). How popular were they?
I'm going to say that I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to television, my family gave up on Cable back in the early 90s, lol.

We watch Canadian Satellite tv here in Illinois. After having Comcast double our cable rates and force channels on us that we don't want like BET and ESPN, and leave off many channels we wanted- we looked to switch to Direct tv or Dish network. I read the contracts on both and no one in their right mind would sign a Dish tv or Direct tv contract.
We searched and discovered Canada does not allow oligopolistic industries to write one sided contracts. We ended up going with Shaw Direct out of Canada. A little bit of hassle to make it happen as one can't buy the equipment easily in the USA. But we have it, no contract and $30 a month for what would of cost $100 a month on Dish network. When you call for service/ support you always get a competent person and no games with the bill. Very happy with Canadian TV.
Trailer Park Boys is a favorite except when my Wife is home- she has banned it from the house so we have to sneak it it. Don Cherry'* color commentary on Hockey Night is also great viewing.
Overall- Canadian TV is great. Less commercials, more channels, more choices and half the money. Funny how NAFTA left out broadcasting. Seems the USA big wigs that run the media empires had clout, big clout.

Love the Red Green Show. We need him here as a gearhead. I'd create a "Duct Tape" Section just for him. I could name a few qualified people here who could Moderate it, but to early in the day to start a flame war.

While I'm working out getting him here, Enjoy this tutorial of "How to change your oil", made by Red.

On a fly-in fishing trip to Alaska their plane was toreup by a bear. They radioed for new tires some plastic and 3 cases of duct tape. They fixed their plane and flew it out of there.
Red is my Idol !!!
Nothing I can't fix when I have a couple rolls of Duct Tape !!!
I hit a deer once and put the front end back together with Duct Tape !!then taped the deer to the trunk and brought it home !!
