Default Turbo Neon Warning

Watch out for that new turbo neon

0-60 in 6 sec and 1/4 mi @ 99 mph........

Then there'* the SRT8 wagon with a 400 hp supercharged hemi.

That Chrysler merger with Mercedes is beginning to pay off.

Really need to pump up those Bonne'* to keep up with the competition.

i was reading about the neon in the paper the other day...It'* supposed to be the fastest car by Dodge behind the Viper...

I'm confused. Up here (ie CAN) the Neon has been discontinued. Plymouth no longer exists as a division of DaimlerChrysler. As far as I can remember, its called the SX 2.0. Even if it is Turbo charged, it couldn't be all that fast.

What are the spec?

Last months issue of Sport Compact Car named it Sport compact car of the year so that does say something i guess.

I like the new neon because it brings back those late 80'*/early 90'* idea of turbocharging little economic cars. Plus it seems like a very quick little car, but good god neons are ALL OVER where I live its just sick. You know why? The only plant in the world that makes neon (Belvidere, IL) is less than 15 minutes from my house.

It is very quick. No surprise, though. Nice power to weight ratio. Too bad its got the build quality of a Ravell Snap Tite model kit.

i see them all the time too, they are cheap and relativly easy to maintain, I rode in one a few years ago and was not impressed at all. Everything in the car seemed cheap and poorly made.

For the person above near the top asking about the 2.0 it is a totally different car. I am from Canada too and the new 2.0 is a piece of crap. It is just a neon with a new front grille etc.and a catchy name still only has 132 hp. I don't know if they are bringing the SRT up to Can. It is a great car though, nice little turbo, a big fat intercooler , suspension upgradesetc. etc. It seems a lot of companies are beginning to produce aftermarket style cars from their own factory (ie. The neon srt, mazdaspeed protege and I believe even mugen is putting out a car (yes I know they are ricers )
