Ummmm...just wonderin...does that mean that if you have an Olds you have to turn it in, or will it be OK to keep driving it? :?:

You have to turn it in. It'll be a violation to keep driving it. If you want to cheat, I'll make you a SWEET deal on Pontiac badging. That might fool 'em for awhile.

Olds is gonzo...was supposed to be gone long ago until the...well, the car I drive was introduced, postponed the death of the division

Its not officially kaput.

Cars look so similar these days they could keep releasing olds under a new badging and it wouldnt be a big difference imo. I was looking at my sisters 2003 Grand Prix and I see so many similarities to my 92 Bonneville its scary.

GM kept experimenting with that awful plastic on the sides of the vehicles, it didnt work on the Aztec why would it work on the Avalanche GM???????

Well yes & NO! It is an asumption that GM (or ANY other car manufacturer) will keep extra parts for 10 years (not 12) after a certain car model is made. What you have to remember though....Is that these "parts" can be used up even quicker than that too! :? I've seen 10 year'* worth of parts used up within 2-3 years quite easily too!
