Default Tried something new today

I was at work today when I get a text message from my wife. I locked Talyas bedroom door, and the key is in her room. I tell her I have no idea where the other key is. Well, nothing I can do from work so I'll deal with it when I get home. So I think about it, what'* cheaper? A lock smith, or a window. Hmm, wait, I have a angle grinder with a cut off wheel, I'll cut the door **** off. A door **** is cheep. Then I think, how hard can it be to pick a lock? I got some steel and cut it and made my own pick set. I give it a try on a padlock, takes me all of 15 seconds at the most. Well, those only have 4 tumblers, a door lock has 6 or 8. I get home and give it a try. I got it 4 times in about 2 minuets, why wont it unlock? Did I do something wrong? No, I managed to lock it 4 times. So I flipped the lever and went at it again, less then 30 seconds later, the door was open.

One step closer to my life of crime.

Could be the start of a whole new career. Danthurs,... saving the world one bedroom door at a time. Very resourceful.

I use to do that all the time when I was in the Army. Friends would always come in with these cheap padlocks and have me try and crack them open. If you can find one of these, give this kind a try. I have yet to crack one of these. And it'* only like 5-6 tumblers.

I have one of those, I'll have to give it a try when I have a chance.

Just don't get caught walking around with those. A friend of mine had a really nice set till his vehicle got "randomly searched". Apparently it'* not legal to have one unless your a locksmith.

Sounds like a cool hobby though... Good work!
