Transmission Talk!! Update
This weekend i took the car on a trip, about 200 miles total, on the way back yesturday, i had the cruise set at a nice even 75, after 20 minutes the trans was shifting from OD into 3rd and sat at 3500 rpms, did this and stayed that way for a few mins, i slowed down to 60 mph, no change, accelerated once again to 75 it then harshly shifted into OD, it did this 3 times, butchured my mileage.
Today, it was all good, until i came to a red light, i went to go again, press on the gas it shutterd hardly 3-4 times then cluncked into gear.
I immidently took it to the dealership we bought it from, they will get back to me on it tomorrow
the car only has 30K miles on it, and i take really good care of it.
I really dont know what to say, other than its coverd on warranty should it need any work.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be?

What are some of the things to help/fix/prevent transmission damage? Mine slips real bad at low rpm, then starts pulling at 2500rpm. Right when the engine'* torque peak flattens out.

It'* so hard to say what'* wrong. Many small failures can lead to larger ones. Just be grateful you have a warranty. I'm going the more spendy route. 110k on mine, limping day by day.

Are you just going to go with a GM Re-manned unit?
How much longer do you figure the tranny has left in it if you baby it?
When i was driving Pdads car he told me that yours is almost like putting it in Nuetral, reving it and dumping it into gear...clutches?

I think everything is going at once. It all started with the accumulators probably. It'* been slowly degrading since before WCBF, and has minutes or days left. Hard to say. Completely missed the 2nd gear shift yesterday, went to N instead. Shifted in when I manually forced it. Making noise intermittently at idle and just before each shift. I have 10 hard drive magnets all over the pan to keep nasty stuff from migrating through and causing more damage.
Probably not going with GM reman. Looking at other options. Some OEM type, some Performance built.

We'll probably have to pull the pan to drain it before shipping back for core, but no further disassembly will be allowed. It would be fun, but there'* still value in the trans as a core for another rebuild.
It will be interesting to see what kind of chunks I catch.

hehe we will place bets on it here on BC, whoever guesses the size of the largest chunk from the filter/pan wins a swift kick in the arse.
