Default Training Today

Started at 0800 and ended at 1600. It was Taser training with the X26 Taser Police Edition Gun (different then civillian). I was in a class of about 30 people and included several different departments. Had classroom portion of it, then went to live fire excercises. Had to shoot at a stationary target with the laser sight on and off. Then had to charge it using the Taser as a traditional stun gun. Then we hit the mats and practiced using it as you might see on COPS, with the actor being tazed and had to cuff em within 5 seconds. Finally wrapped it up with getting shot for 5 seconds. That hurt like hell and the needles leave a pretty decent hole in your skin. All in all not a bad day though. Recently just got certified in CPR, thought I might of had to use it on one of the guys there, he was about 65 and got shot as well. Its actually really fun to shoot, since it dont have a kick back or anything like a pistol. Though whatever you may hear, stun guns are very less painfull then Tasers, it blew my mind.
