www.allwhois.com gives you sites registered to domains outside of godaddy.com.

For a couple extra bucks with your domain registration, you can mask your info. If I had something that I wanted to hide, that is what I would do.

Personally, I ain't too worried about it. For as few people who even know my site exists, I doubt I'm in much danger of getting contacted....

If you were posting questionable material, info masking is the way to go. This way the feds would need to supena [sp?] to get the info, and at that point, you could just format the server [You wouldn't put illegal content on a foreign server, WOULD YOU!?!?!?!].
