What 800lb trailer are you using that will hold 3500+ lbs? Most trailers rated for that much weight are double axle and weigh 2500lbs! Or maybe you are hauling a boat...then I could see the trailer being 800lbs. Or a car dollie.

I would check into your tow weights a little more.

You *might* be able to pull it off for a short distance with low traffic. You could always try and hook everything up and drive around the block before you venture out too far. If the brakes are only adequate for stopping a 4000lb car, imagine them trying to stop 8000+ lbs!!! I wouldn't want to tow like that for very far without at least surge brakes on the trailer.

What is the rear axle ratio?
Im sure it can tow it..can the breaks handle the load?
