Default Tools of the Trade

I popped the trunk on the Bonne the other day to place some groceries in and what a mess. My tools were everywhere and my toolbox was in dismay.

I took my toolbox upstairs so I could clean and organize them. Come to find out, I dont have a macthing set of anything and at that moment I thought how nice it would be if I had a nice tool set that was complete.

So what does your tool box look like? Are you a tool fanatic?

I'm out of control...

I buy due to need or future visible need.

For example.
I owned metric and standard polished wrench sets
I picked up a set of ratcheting wrenches to make mirror removal/install easier
Then they came out with locking pivot head ratcheting wrenches that make it even easier, got them.
I needed a 6 point 15mm wrench for my exhaust work. 1 wrench $15.99, whole set $30
I needed offset wrenches... got the set

That'* 6 freakin sets of wrenches.. Anyone want to buy a set?

Only due to my budget, I'm a buy 'em if I need 'em type (says the guy with the $400 code scanner ). If I had the money, tho, my garage would look like the inside of a Snap-On truck....

Tools are good, tools are fun, gotta have 'em all, every one...

I have a large amount of woodworking tools including antique planes etc... I am just starting to buy more wrenching tools, as need or sales arise. Now I need to "invest" in a decent chest tool box.

Is that so wrong???

I tend to get the specialized tools only when I am going to need them. Otherwise I try to get the general stuff when it’* on sale in sets, especially from Sears. I don’t know how many ratchets I have taken in because the direction lever thing broke off. Lifetime warranty FTW!
Can never have too many pliers, wrenches and screwdrivers either. I have a small set I keep in my vehicle, a general toolbox I keep in the house for quick access, and another full set with everything else out in the workshop.
