For those of you who may know me you know who Chad is and that he left for Iraq in August of this year. I recieved news from his mom today that he passed away Saturday morning from a roadside bomb. I'm not going to say much because even though we had broken up before he left I'm still having quite a rough time handling it and right now typing this is taking everything in me. I'm sorry for the unpleasant news but I thought I'd let those of you know, so no one wonders where he is after a while. I will be attending all services for him and will post the info as I recieve it. Hope everyone has had a better holiday!

Oh my God...... not Chad.......

This can't be happening. I think I'm going to throw up.

EDIT: This is absolutely shocking... I don't even know what to think. This is the most terrible thing I can ever remember happening on BC. Melissa, I'm so sorry that you have to go through this. Good Lord.... I don't even know what to say.....

I feel the same trust me I know how the sudden speechlessness goes. I'm going to bed for now. I seriously feel like someone just came and ripped everything out of me... and I don't know what to do from here. This comes just a week after I hit a deer with my new car and after another friend passed away about a week and a half ago. This has by far hit me the hardest though. Cars can be fixed, Chad will never be able to hug his mom again and I can never say sorry.

Melissa, I honestly wish I could come and sit with you right now. I wish we all could. I don't think I can ever know how you feel, but I want so much to share your pain. This is an awful turn of events, and I want you to know my thoughts are with you, as well as the thoughts of all BC members when they read this thread tomorrow morning. Chad was a class act, and while I did not have the privilege of knowing him personally, I am confident he believed he was doing the right thing in Iraq. This feeling is horrible, and if there is anything that this club can do for you or Chad'* family, we will jump to it in a flash. This is a family, and Chad was one of us. I am so, so sorry. God, I wish I could do something more for you and his parents.

I also was talking to him last week on skype.....he was so stoked to get out of iraq because how dangerous it was and all the IEDs...I dont know what to say. I cant imagine what his family is going thru right now.

Wow..This is by far the worst thing that has happened on BC. Melissia, I'm very sorry for your loss.. I can't even imagine what your going through. Were all here for you and Chad will be missed..

Thank you Melissa for thinking of us and please pass along our heart felt condolances to the familly. I do feel for you and your relationship with Chad but cant imagine how tough it is on his parents especially on Christmas Eve :(
