I don't think you can use different diameters (IE 16s on the front and 17s in the back) as the ABS will freak out on you. Different diameters = Backs not reading the same speed as the fronts, and thinks you are spinning your tires, and will activate ABS/Traction Control. It did on my '94 SSEi when I had taller tires on the back, so I had to pull my ABS fuse. Don't take my word for it though, as I am not sure if the 00-05 ABS system acts like the 92-99'*.

yeah that makes sense. I dont have traction control, but I can see how it would screw up. I am planning on getting High performance all season tires, Probably Cooper Zeon Sport A/*.

actually i think the diameter of the 225/60/16 is a little bit bigger. And i would have different sizes because i just bought 4 17 inch chrome rims to replace my stock 16'*

225/60/16 is within 0.1% of a 245/50/17

.1 % eh?... I think I will just see how it goes, if they seem like they are beginning to corrode at all I will have to get some tires just for winter. The tires I have on the 16'* (and on the car) are not going to cut it for next winter. which would mean I have to be at least two tires, not to bad
