Good grief, this crap always happens on Sunday night LOL. Daughter took a shower, tub wont drain, toilet overflows when flushed, I know enough about plumbing to know that this will probably cost lot$a $$$ to fix. Is there anything simple I can do with this? lucky its just clean water and not **** all over the floor LOL.

Check your vent tube for the sewer. I am betting on a bird'* nest blocking the airflow.

have you tried some high quality liquid plumber? not just draino.. the stuff that almost eats through its own container?

renting a plumbers snake might save you some money also...

If the tub is not draining, and the toliet overflows, that means that the blockage is in the main drain (ie Tampon, or other Sanitary items). Check over in http://www.terrylove.com/forums/inde...2de944c834730& and you should be able to get a quick answer in how to do it, without flooding the basement/crawl space. Now if this is a Slab home, you are pretty much going to have to get the toliet off of the flange, and use a snake to unclog the drain.

That is what I was thinking. The main drain tube for the house. My mom clogged that once with orange peels

Gregzoll, I bookmarked that thank you!, I am the total opposite of plumber. Last thing I tried to fix (toilet valve replacement on Sunday night years ago) resulted in having to call a plumber out at 6am monday morning. Late to work, bad deal all around LOL.

its could be tree roots that have grown into the drain that is in your yard that either leads to your septic tank or the city drain, if you can rent a plumbers snake, do it, theyre not to hard to operate and they will save you ALOT of money.. do you have a floor drain?
