i used vitals suggestion. figured id try physical means before moving to chemical, then begin chemical when i started getting ready for work.
my ear hurts, so i cant quite tell if the water is still there. but it feels okay now.
well see. i fully plan to try rubbing alcohol, if it doesnt feel fine when i get ready for work. id like to get this taken care of before i go to wichita [immediately after work]

What I do is put my palm up against my ear and tilt my head and move it up and down, it creates suction and acts like a vacuum. Most of the time it works.

I've used both of Vitals' suggestions before and they have worked. I pressurized my right ear after jumping off a 60' cliff and used those methods over the course of a week to get it all out.

Got a plunger laying around the house? Apply a little dielectric grease (any good mechanic should have some of this) to create a good seal...
... !!!!!!
*I know you wouldn't try this, Jwak, but in case Badnit reads it... *

Almost an RN here. Swimmers ear is awsome. A little rubbing alch, sometimes makes your ear feel funny afterwords. No issues unless you use it ALOT. Next time you swim or what ever use ear plugs...

CRAZY IDEA: If your ear hurts... go to the doctor.
My one year old was diagnosed today with a double ear infection... poor little guy is wiped out.
Go to the doc before it gets serious and you damage your hearing.

what he said. when i got mine, i almost ruptured my ear drum due to swelling. it hurt bad with a combo outer and inner ear infection. If it had ruptured, it would have been unbearable. I had a hard enough time sleeping as it was. I was on 875 mg of anti-biotics a day. (i was also allergic to the numbing drops they gave me, and couldnt use them.) I am used to high anti-biotics though, as i was on 2000 mg a day when i had an MRSA staff infection (in 3 spots on my face....OUCH). Go to the doctor before you get serious pain/damage.
