Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Thank you.

Default Thank you.

To all members of BC:

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support during our trials today. The entire staff appreciates you. We will continue to try to make this a clean, safe place to be and pour all of our efforts into it. An extra thank you goes out to all who showed their support through IM, PM, and Email. Makes me proud to be a part of this club.

Rules for the road in the future:

If you see flames, ignore them. Leave a PM or IM or Email for an Admin or Mod (or several) if you see them. Many of you already do this, and this information is invaluable to us. By ignoring these posts, we keep the flames from being fanned further. If there isn't a staff member online, it won't be long.

No 'foreign' poster can hurt my feelings in any way by posting derrogetory remarks about me in retaliation for a well-deserved ban. Let it ride. The respect you show for us makes those insults slide right off. We could care less what others think of us. We do care what you think of us. That'* what matters in times like these.

A special thank you goes out to the BIG boss, Jeff for his quick action when things got dicey. This is a very busy time for him, and it was a sacrifice for him to pull away from his other responsibilities to come and assist. We appreciate the faith he has in us, and hope that he appreciates the faith we have in him. All hail Jeff!

Again, thank you all.

For those on other forums that are reading this with a heckling spirit, one of the reasons we take the peace here so seriously, is that this is a family oriented site. Many of our children enjoy sitting with their parents reading the stories. This is a social site for them, and the younger people enjoy watching the 'personalities'. My own children 'know' a good many of the members here.

The younger memebers here show alot more maturity than many adults I've seen.

Our youngest registered member is 13. We have many in the 16-17 age range, and we do our best to keep this site 'appropriate' for them.

Those of you who have families or children should be able to understand why we enjoy the peace and friendly atmosphere here.

We will continue to have an intolerant attitude towards flamers, and will keep this site what it was intended to be.

You know, it would be alot more beneficial to both sites we're talking about if we could actually put aside the old history and work together, considering the similar drivetrains. The rift between the two sites hurts everyone. It works both ways. In this particular case, one person opened up alot of old memories that had nearly been forgotten.

This reminds me of the rift in the early days between Bonneville Attitude and Bonneville Club.

I, for one, have a whole new respect for this forum after the last few days. Will, the responsibility you take on and the way you handle it inspires. I have a child of my own and am glad that I finally found a forum that shares my passion that is also pleasant at all times and family-oriented. Kudos to all admins and moderators who take on this responsibility. The world is not a clean place and it takes serious effort to make one spot in it clean...Thank you BC staff.
