Yeah you can do 14 sec range 1/4'* in GTP'* with stock equipment, and good launches, and it'* pretty consistent from what i've seen/read. Bonneville'* nicer options? Ever seent he chrome SSEi rims of 00+? to die for... The bonneville was the father, the GP just got everything from it, now it'* backwards, the 04 GP has the series III mill, and we are stuck wondering why.

Are you referring to my post? I said that becasue it does move... noticeably faster than my bonneville, I was just saying that becasue it feels a lot faster than my SSE. One thing is my Dad'* car has about 10K on the ticker while mine has 67K so other than the obvious */C vs. NA his engine is also a lot fresher than mine. Even Ryan said that the GTP felt faster than his SSEi, and he has an intake and re-worked exhaust...

Hang on a second. You guys talk like it'* a 12 second car stock and the Bonneville is like 19 seconds stock.

2000 GTP
0-60: 6.8
1/4 Mile: 15.1

2000 SSEi
0-60: 7.5
1/4 Mile: 15.8

.7 seconds is hardly worth going over board and calling it "really fast" and you know what..those times for an SSEi are rather slow. any other times for 95 or so SE are quite fast in comparisson.

95 SE
0-60: 7.1
1/4 mile: 15.4

Now we are down to .3 seconds of difference. Hardly worth this talk of one being slow and the other "really moving"...
A stock GTP with a halfway decent driver BETTER be able to run a high 14. There are plenty that run consistant 14.3'* and 14.4'* COMPLETELY STOCK. So that is 1 second difference. But still, I believe I stated that there was approx. 1/2 second difference, depending on model year, engine condition, etc...

haha....no one said it'* slow outright....but "my grand prix really moves" and is so fast is inarguably saying without direct statement "an ssei is slow to my grand prix"
Hmmm....I can think of 1 SSEi quicker than our GTP...and that would be Scott Cook, and it has a different supercharger and complete INTENSE race engine. I am pretty sure there aren't ANY SSEi'* other than Scott Cooks that run quicker than 13'*, although I could be wrong. But I would hope that most on this forum would agree than an SSEi is slow compared to my dads GTP. But stock vs. stock there isn't really that much difference. Yeah, the GTP is ~300lbs. lighter so its gonna be slower, but they are still both considerably quick cars stock, and anyone considering an SSEi but buying a GTP because it is a quicker car needs to be beat in the head numerous times, because the difference is not that much.
