Well I took out a 06 Grand prix today. the sales person bragged about how fast the car is with the supercharger and the usual stuff. So during the 6 km I took the car I found that it doesn't really pull that hard. Off the lines is ok, 80 km/h and up the car feels underpowered. So when I get back he asks me how I liked it and I told him that I expected a little more. Then he proceeded to tell me that a $10 pulley can push the motor up to 500hp. I went along with that and asked if they would install a smaller pulley so i could test drive it like that. He said no. I left. Overall it was a nice car but the bonneville just has so much more interior room and the plastics inside seemed really cheap, even for GM.

now that is funny!!!!
If only it was that easy..... we would ALL be driving around 500 + hp beasts!
Did he try to sell you one of those fuel line magnets also?? one of those would probably give you an extra 60 MPG also
I didn't know that the GT came supercharged, I thought it was just the GTP?
we test drove a 2005 GTP, and that thing pulled like a beast

Wow and I thought only the stupid sales people worked at parts stores. Does that guy really think he'* going to sell anything, telling people that load of crap?

I am pretty sure in 06 they dropped GTP. So the old GT became the base model, the GTP became the GT, then the GXP was at the top, I might be wrong but it is something like that.
