Default Temporary v-belt

What could you buy from Walgreens that cost $4-$5 and could be used as a temporary v-belt?

I don't think you could use anything....it would most likely fall apart or not have enough tension so save up and get a regular belt.

it'* not that, my teacher keeps asking us these bonus question'* to solve and I thought I could get some light shed on this question. I thought it would be an extension cord, unless they sell those temporary v-belts.

I would say a roll of duct tape. And we don't use V belts anymore, it'* a serpentine belt.

Are they trying to use the old "pair of stockings" trick? I cut the elastic waistband off my friut of the looms about two years ago when the water pump pulley sheared off my 92 mustang 2.3 liter.. Just to turn the alternator fron the crank (yes it was the correct rotation) it got me about 6 miles to a safe place.

I would go with the duct tape as well. Since its a v belt we are talking, a 100 yard rolls would make a pretty sturdy one for a temporary.

Lets keep non Bonneville specific posts in the Lounge.
