I run an online gaming clan and use a Voice over Internet Provider (VoIP). This is a real time voice Com just like a home phone or cell phone, but you can have many peeps on at once. I think this would be a great idea if you folks would want to take advantage of this. This could solve many problems quicker and more accurately. Let me know if you want to try it. Hmm what would happen to be the name of your clan? I'm part of Clan MonK, might have seen ya round if you have played BC2 or APB. We use Ventrilo for our VoIP.

The problem with something like this is that the information is not saved for future use. The purpose of the forum is to be a database of information, and the more we have the better.

Now if we could just fix vBulletin'* search feature to work better we'd be perfect. If I want to find anything on a vB forum I use Google instead to search said forum.

I have no problem with members setting up text or voice chats and linking them. But in over 15 years on Forums, I have never, ever, seen one take off or remain active anywhere. The majority of people on a Forum are here because they like the format as is. They don't want to be "bothered" with something else, in any form, that distracts them from the routine they are familiar with. For those that like it, link away and try it. It will fail. They all do. No worries on this end.

Side note to you gamers, I would be happy to offer you access to my vent server hosted on a dedicated server I own.

I use it for BF2 bad company, but you are free to have your own rooms, just no sexy talk without inviting me. lol

Viper, while voice chat may help when dealing with a problem, historically it is better for the content to be posted here for ALL to see, read and review. This is why I am removing your post.

If it was about gaming, perhaps I would think differently.
