expect the worst... thats all i can tell you. Its nothing unbearable, but its far from not hurting aswell.

In my opninion - its not bad 99% of the time, but everyonce in a while they will hit a nerve/tender spot or go a bit deep, or make a real long line, and then it starts to hurt

It really depends on the place you get it, areas along bone (spine, shoulder blade, ankle) are the more painful areas. After the first few minutes its nothing but a tingly feeling and barely hurts.

I have several the worst one was on my calf 5 hours then another hour touching it up 2 months later. shoulders wernt to bad unless you move around to the fatty part towards your back, chest was fine around my nipple kinda stung and then toward the arm pit kinda well yeah back of the neck was the easiest. first tattoo i suggest nothing to major then go from there but a good artist will be honest. and tell you the truth about where to and what to expect. i'll post some picks later on

Very much depends on WHERE. But no matter where you get one, a few beers ahead of time works.

unfortunately, alcohol thins out the blood, so you will bleed more, and the ink will not set in as deep.

Mine was done with bamboo needles. I didn't bleed, and it'* held up well since 1988. I was quite blasted at the time.
