stupid windows!!
Alright I'll put this here since I'm not really looking for any help, just need to vent.
I have fixed my right rear regulator twice now, and I've had the car for less than a year. Tonight I was out with some friends and we pulled up next to the other car to talk, and my friend in my backseat wanted the window down, (they were locked because i know if i roll them down theres a chance of it not going back up..). Not thinking, I rolled it down for him, and Before i realized what was happening it was too late, the window was frozen shut, and the regulator is broke again now.
The worst part is the window didnt stay frozen, as soon as the regulator let loose, it fell all the way down. it was 5 degrees out and i couldnt roll my window up. luckily i had done this before and i pulled the panel quick and used a empty pringles can to hold it up. Anyone else sick of these things breaking?? I think this time Im just going to shell out the money and put a new one in it.

Nahh, believe me, we all have our moments. Heh, I just had to pay 1100 bucks to replace a transmission, and I see another 300 bucks in repairs on the horizon (UIM, LIM gaskets, W/P, MAF). Dude, it'* a used car, it'* gonna have issues, be thankful it'* only the window regulator
Hope ya get it figured out!

Im pretty sure the way i had it fixed it would work fine for a long time as long as it didnt try to roll it down when its frozen, but Im sick of fixing it so im not gonna take the chance.
I agree with you on the used car thing, So far, beyond normal maintence i have a starter, wheel hub, and now this, so thats not so bad i guess.
Where should i go to get a good (but not ridiculously priced) replacement regulator?
I guess this is turning into non-lounge material now, sorry mods! go ahead and move it if need be.
