Here in Toronto everybody knows not to speed around the end of the month. The reason being has been said many times, our officers of the law have to give out a certain number of tickets by the end of each month. For example Officer Ralph has given out 25 tickets in the month of January, but has to report 30 to his superiors. thus the last couple of days he goes searching for reasons to give a ticket and not by just enforcing the law.

Maybe im just talking a bunch of bull but i have friends in law enforcement that have admitted this. Just connect the dots.

I had a close call a couple weeks ago driving home at 1am...going 65 in a 40...not going to get into the whole story, but for some reason the cop was in a good mood, and said he got me the lowest fine possible, and I got a $100 ticket. I am friggin' LUCKY. $100, especially for my speed, is nothing.

I was just really pissed that he searched me and my car, that wasn't cool and was uncalled for...

(I ended up missing my bro'* birthday party, too, after all that...)

What? When me and Brian convoyed to ONBF, he wouldn't let me drive faster than 5 over...oh wait, that was ten over...then never mind.

Sucks though.

Whoa wait, what grounds did he give for searching your car? Don't EVER let a cop search your car without a stated reason. He CANNOT search your car without your permission, probable cause, or a warrant, anything else is illegal and a violation of state and federal law. A lot of cops will pull that crap, trying to get into a car by letting the driver think that if they cooperate on the search, they'll get off with a warning. It'* a nasty little tactic, and a ton of people fall for it. Always, always, always tell them, "NO, you do not have permission to search my car."

That, Cody, is because I-71 north of C-bus is usually crawling with cops, as you found out...
