Default Storm in Ontario

http://www.intellicast.com/Local/USN...p&prodnav=none

For those of us that have to drive our Bonne'* back and forth to work...it is going to be a rough ride on Monday.

Look at the storm that is on the way!

Yuck! So much for a clean car!

Yeah you are expecting about 10 cm of snow, I guess they will have to call in the army again, lol.

I watch the weather on the news for Toronto and hear then bitch about, oh it is so cold over here we are going to hit a low of -18.

BIG DEAL, hehe. Try it going down to -30 to -40 without the windchill, and with the windchill it is in the -50'*. Not counting the snow either. I drive 5,000kms a month in that crap. This winter is not a record setting cold winter but has definetly had the longest spell of cold days in a row that I can remember. It'* all of those "Alberta Clippers" they keep calling them. So then I guess we can blame it all on DEATHRAT, lol.

Sure 10cm of snow is a good bunch of snow but the problem is that most people don't know how to drive, it took me 2.5-3 hours to get from Ottawa to Pembroke just before christmas ( usually about a 1.5 hour drive going the speed limit) , it was snowing, not alot either. The roads had a little bit of snow on them yet people were driving 30 in a 90 zone. Each passing lane I hit I would speed up to about 60-70 in the 90 with no problems and pass a huge line of cars, and it was smooth sailing till the next bunch of cars.

Unfortunatly have to drive that much in my 2003 malibu. Yet when I am home on weekends I can drive my 1990 SSE and let me tell you that the bonneville holds the road much better and I fell much safer in that car, even if it is 14 years old.

All I have to say is good luck tomorrow and probably tuesday haveing to deal with all the other people on the road, that if they would be driving a bonne they would have no probs.

Give me about a day and I'll feel your pain...I hate snow (except when it cancels classes, then I can kinda deal)!

We have had all the strange weather we can handle here. First it was freezing -35, then it went up and we got some more snow -16, then it really got weird...it went up to plus 6 and we got rain Then it froze....lovely roads, NOT. Now it is cold again and it has been snowing since Thursday.....I can't wait until SPRING!!!!!!!!

Well I stand corrected, I heard what they changed the amount of snow too and all I have to say is that I declare the rest of the week a snow day and you should stay home.

They are now calling for 40-50 cm of snow in the next 24-48 hours for you guys. I think I will take the cold we are getting over that much snow. ( 15 -20 INCHES for you yanks, hehe.)

It is 67 here today but the temperatures will be dropping and we have a 50-50 chance of snow flurries. It won't accumulate to much though. The great thing about living here is that if it does snow 1 or 2 inches you don't have to go to work or school because they aren't equipped with snow plows etc. When that happens I call my friends in Chicago and lol

67*!!!!! I would love to be somewhere where it'* half that. Yeah, I always laugh at people south of me who cancel everything for an inch of snow...we'd never have school if we did that here. I always think it is ironic though, that the days they actually do cancel schools are quite often better days to drive in then some that they don't. Silly people!
