Default Stinky dog

I let my dog outside last night so she could go potty. I came back about 10 min later (if it was even that long). I called her and I could hear her shuffleing around in the snow but she did not come running like she usually does. Finally she came, and as she ran past me into the house, oh sh**! Damn she stinks!! She got sprayed by a skunk!! I took her back outside for the night. She was rolling around in the snow and rubbing her face in the snow to try and get the stink off. Going to have to get some de-skunking shampoo today. Eventhough she was only in for a minute the house stinks now.

Don't bathe her in tomatoe juice. It is a myth that tomatoe juice removes the smell. TRUST ME, we've been through this. It only sets in the smell worse...

You're going to laugh, but what we were told by the vet to use is femanine douche. We tried it the last time our Golden Retreiver got sprayed and it worked GREAT. Give her a bath in the douche, then give her a regular shampoo bath and she'll be back to normal.

thats the one smell that I cant stand. its bad enough to make me want to puke.

had a skunk spray my (old) car once. smell stayed with it for a week no matter what i did to clean it.
had to keep matches in it to light everytime I got in it.
