Default Steam engine spark show (vid and pics)

I'm a member of a local steam power club, and their show was this past weekend. One of my favorite features is always the spark show. They toss sawdust in with the coal, which comes out the smokestack before completely burning. The pictures and video don't do it justice...it'* really cool to watch! There are two engines in these.

i met my first girlfriend at a steam engine show.. they are all over here!

i have never seen the wood chip trick though.. (probably cuz I never stayed that late to one of them)

I met my husband at the first steam power show I went to. I didn't know this until two and a half years ago when I actually started dating the guy.

We're considering going to the Rollag show near you if we can both get time off (not to mention getting my truck to behave long enough to pull the camper there )
