Default Startling Statistics

Did you know???

A) The number of physicians in the US is 700,000
B) Accidental deaths caused by physicians per year is 120,000
C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171 (US. Dept. Health and Human

Services) now, think about this:

A) Number of gun owners in the US. Is 80,000,000 (yes, 80 million)
B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year (all age groups) is
500.
C) The number of accidental gun deaths per owner is .0000188.
Statistically, doctors are about 9,000 times more dangerous than gun
owners.

Fact: not everyone has a gun, but almost everyone has at least one
doctor.

I'm not agianst guns but I think that is a bad comparison.
I mean doctors are working and making life decisions all the time..
And there are a ton of people that rarely ever take thier guns out of a gun case, safe, or apart from thier gun lock.

I see your point but think about it this way

700,000 Physicans
80,000,000 Gun owners.

More than 10x so even in what your saying, If 90% of the gun owners never touched their weapon, physicans are still like 900x more dangerous. I believe my math is correct

moreover, and perhaps more damning, if 99% of the gun owners never touched their weapon, physicians are still 90x more dangerous. same math, but more convincing.

another step and you have 99.9% and 9X

EDIT: i would be interested to see the opposite stat here. how many lives saved?

But how many guns are involved in life decisions every day compared to the amount of doctors that are?

Edit.
And what about all the unregistered gun owners?
