Well, it'* known that the version of Safari included with the 10.4.11 update has certain problems, and one happens to be confirmation codes not showing up.
Plus Mozilla Firefox is a good alternative that I use sometimes. Also remember the first release Mozilla ever did was a browser for Mac.
