Part of what I did to drag myself out of my funk...
Klingon Scout Ship made from paper. Not the best work I could do, but it'* been a few years since I did a paper model...

Working on a D7 Cruiser right now, a Stargate, and I have several more models in the wings

Heres a quick shot of the Stargate. Not 100% finished, but displayable..

And, a teaser of where I'm at on the Klingon D7 Battle Cruiser... That'* a 1 foot architects square on the table. This model is gonna be probably the largest I've done to date.

Very nice, not many people make paper models anymore, glad to see somebody going to the effort involved!
Jack, AMT made fiber-optic version of the original Enterprise and the "D" a few years back with internal lighting. The kits might be hard to find, but you could make your own with the regular kit and some Radio Shack parts.

A company named Polar Lights re-released a whole mess of Star Trek plastic models. Do a searcg for them
I used to do nothing but plastic models, but once I stumbled on paper models, more popularly called "card modelling" I was hooked. A lot of free "kits" available, in almost any subject. and, it'* all about the building. The kit designer has already done the boring painting part. But, even that can be modded if you want.
Just some paper or card strock, a decent printer, scissors and elmer'* glue and you got yerself a cool little model.
Speaking of which... anyone ever CAD'ed a Bonne??? nudgenudge, winkwink....

For those who might have been wondering, there were promo style 1/25th or 1/24th scale models of the 92-95 style Bonnevilles made. I saw one at a car show a few years back. It was just a promo kit, no underhood and the chassis was pretty generic, open seatbacks in the interior too.
