speeding ticket (no steet racing involved)
 

Hey everybody I got my first speeding ticket.
I need to vent my frustrations so let me tell my story I was driving down the parkway in my explorer (bonnes is in the shop) coming back from my cousins bithday party. I'm minding my own business when I pass the off ramp of 231 and if anyone else on long island its a HEAVY street racing area and hidding in the bushes waiting for an unsuspecting honda with their fart pipes and euro lights to merge on the parkway after a race is a state trooper. Anyway I drive by and next thing I know I see a crown vic tailing me and the sirings go off and he pulls me over I tried but to no avial he won't budge about letting me off. He writes me a ticket for 140 bucks and drives off. Well that's the end of the story and the moral of the story is don't get caught speeding.

im lucky, its hard for me to speed on the highway :D

Sorry to hear it. Happens to the best of us...

We have a few places in the cities where the cops like to hang out. I found one of them the hard way, just like you. I got lucky, tho, the cop wrote me up for the cracked winshield on the car rather than speeding. Same price, but no "points". And I now know when I cross the river, I better be doing the limit....

Well I was lucky then!! I got pulled over for speeding. But get this it was 1:30 in the morning and I was going home and me not paying attention to my speedometer I got pulled over for 74 in a 55, but he let me off on a failure to obey a highway sign, I still got 2 points on my license and had to go to a driver improvement class which added up to about $200 after it was all said and done.

1)19 mph over the speed limit
2)doing 74
3)own a bonneville
4)belong to this club

maybe we were separated at birth lol :)

1 and 2 can get ya a ticket......................

3 and 4 can get ya' nothing but respect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8)

i just got done taking care of one for 94 in a 70 :( he couldve arreted me, but he just gave me a ticket instead.....morol of the story DONT try and tune your 3-4 upshift on a public highway....cost me 250 for the lawyer 150 for the ticket and another 50 plus 8 hours of my life wasted for the driver improvement program....needless to say I am VERY carefull when driving and now own a Valentine One 8)

Well I actually have started to slow down except on Interstate 81

Why don't you guys fight the tickets? I can't even remember how many tickets I should of got points for and ended up with a impeding traffic or not guilty. To this date 0 points - knock on wood. . . . .

The problem is I just don't want to go through the hassle.
