Default Spark Plugs

On my Alero, the manual calls for new plugs at 100,000 miles. Its at 30,000 now, stumbles a bit at start up, takes a bit longer to start sometimes. The plugs appear to be fine, but will they actually do there job perfectly until 100K

I checked the plugs, could not find my gapper, they appear alright in gap.
BUT all the plugs are consistently hazed white, this haze doens't rub off either.
Why would they do this?

Light tan deposits are fine. Normal. Especially if all the plugs look the same. I'd suspect wires though. I've seen factory GM wires give up a few times in the 30-40k range. The best way to know is at low rpm'* climbing a hill (5th gear or OD on an auto, light accelleration up a hill).

How do you know if plugs arn't gapped properly?

Measure them. Proper plug gap should be listed on the emissions label under the hood. Usually on the upper radiator support. Bonnevilles from 87-04 should be 0.060".

i have to find my gapper then. Its the fact they they are burned white that kinda bothers me.

If they're Tan, they're fine. White would lead me to suspect a lean condition. Check your fuel pressure, change your fuel filter, etc. That kind of thing.

Yeah like will said, white is generally because the engine is too lean. Two other causes include plug range too hot and burning coolant.
