Does the NIN give you goosebumps too... or just the Cash version.

I would have to go with the Johnny Cash version only on that one. I like the song a lot. Video is very moving for it as well.

I would have to add

The Car - Jeff Carson
Vimy - Tanglefoot I believe - My friend'* cousin sang it at a talent show at the summer camp I worked at. She was a very good singer. Something for the Canadian with this one. Lyrics and info

I have a couple more... but I need to get back to work

Didn't even think of that, and you're absolutely right. And it ticks me off when people don't treat the song with respect (hats off, stand up, shut up, etc.) EDIT _ Add to this rant, "Whether it'* your anthem or not." They play both when US Teams play Canadidian teams, right. So show respect to both!! It'* just a few minutes, after all...

Dang, I ain't been to event in months, and you got me all riled up just thinking about it!!

To me, good rock music gives me goosebumps. I don't listen to 'slow' music.. a little easy listening, but not like elevator music.. Fleetwood Mac is about the lowest I go. Earth, Wind, & Fire too.

91/97 is right, NIN did originally record Hurt.. they had like 9 versions of the song.. including a techno one, but it was called something else. Started with an 'N' badass song, IMO

What do I know about 'cool' music? I know 'cool' [classic rock] music was never recorded after 1985.. and that I listen to 'cool' music .

There is even better rock recorded before 1985. Judas Priest, Molly Hatchett, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Anthrax, and the list goes on. This thread wasn't about what we listen to but what moves us to goosebumps.
