I wish there was a good place for the Intrigue, but there arent all that many active members of the Intrigue boards there, mostly just first timers who come to get an answer then leave.

No that was me and if I got you banned I'm sorry... But all I was trying to do was bring up the fact that its a large problem and like you said didnt stop in 98

ReallyAGXP, dont worry about it bud, I dont think you had anything to do with it, and honestly its not a big deal to me. Its only for a couple weeks, and from now on Ill just have to give out information via PM. Im not going to stop helping people. and Im not going to stop providing them with accurate information that Ive personally found helpful.

Rod bearings would be fun too, but hes only got one L36. Every car he has is prone to gasket failure of some sort.

Yes there is a wealth of information here, easily accessible, very well organized, and easy to find.

They kept saying there were the same resources there, but I never found them and all that particular moderator kept doing was linking me to the search feature. What good are your "resources" if you have to search through a couple dozen posts just to find something thats already prepared somewhere else?

ReallyAGXP 05-02-2007 05:14 PM

agreed..

like I said We never had problems like that in the W-body section like that. one of the members from www.naioa.com use to have that in his sig and Merlin never said anything.

That's probably the dumbest thing I've noticed about other forums, the fact that you can't advertise another forum. Like around here, I've noticed people linking other people to Fiero forums numerous times. If anything, I think the mods and admins around here kinda encourage it since we're focused on the 3800. Anyway, that's just one of the reasons I love this forum. I'm on probably 10 other forums, and this is the only one I still post on.

acctually there was another member that steped in and said we was from the bonneville club, so i dont think he was looking at screen names

I find the lack of moderation there to be horrendous.. they let people flame and rant to others and basically go way off topic with things. I pretty much stopped posting there 2 years ago Oh and I have been a member since before 05 more like 03. But like i have mentioned a select few of the Moderators there are ok just the rest of them really blow it up.

I have never seen it where you are not encouraged to post other links especially if you know the answer is there. But again this could be due to the fact that it is a commercial forum paid by ad's and sponsorship. They want to keep the member count high as to keep there cash flow coming in.

My hat is off to the Admin/Mod team at www.BonnevilleClub.com. Have a Coors Light on me

$0.25 a can?......................................do ya have to be an admin\mod?

Grimm 05-07-2007 12:43 PM

That's stupid. The only reason I can see not linking to another site is if it is a business with a forum where you don't want people getting sent to another business. Autogeek.net is this way. You can post about products they don't sell all you want so long as you don't link to a competitor site.
