Default Solar Flare Alert : MUST READ

http://msnbc.com/news/984388.asp?0dm=C11MT

The sun on Tuesday unleashed what appears to be the third most powerful flare in recorded history, a storm of charged particles that could hit Earth midday Wednesday with more effect than any since 1989, when power was knocked out to an entire Canadian province.

On the flip side, some of my southerly neighbors might get some Northern Lights! That would make a blackout worth it, in my humble opinion.

Even in North Dakota they can really be something to see. *drool* I'm gunna watch for them
