So.... the Datsun...
As i said before, my buddie Raymond ( who just married my HS math teacher, in whose class id sit behind her computer and be on the club all day until she would give me the glare) just let me help him build a 74 datsun 260. He has had the car for a few years now and he had a LD28 inline 6 in it... it was a diesel, until he blew a rod through the pan. he had it in hollister and we got the bright idea to tow it with my Sonoma from Hollister to his place here in Sacramento. So once here, it joined his datsun Family that consists of a roadster, a 72 240, and a 510 wagon. He had the great idea to install a RB25DET. TO those that dont know about Nissan motors, it a '94 GTR 33 skyline motor. This car weighs about 1800 pounds and has that power to it... yeah... this thing can move. we are close to putting it on the dyno at school and cant wait to hit the track to see our 60 ft and 1/4 mle. time and speed. at it stands... all i can tell you is that an STi has a very hard time looking at the license plate.
I thought you guys would appreciate a good build. This thing is the ultimate sleeper. looks like crud, but can scoot.

<--------is currently forming an admins opinion as to whether the Datsun is appropriate for discussion on the Forum. Actually a neighbor had a 1000z coupe before the 240'* ever came about. Fun car. A Datsun dinosaur . It was kinda special and not imported into the US He got it overseas in the Air Force. So rare I cant even find a photo of it on the net. Here'* a close cousin, the 1200 coupe.

Welcome! 1971Datsun240ZT 74 260z
This is actually his site.
Its sad how he doesnt have picture of it on the dolley hooked up to my Sonoma... it was funny cuz we had two motors and a bunch of spare parts in the bed. my truck probably weighed about 7000 pounds....
You should check out earlydatsun.com/fairlady.html to see the 211 series.

Im just an enthusiest , and in being so, i have gained a great amount of know how on these things. A little while ago, i was building Honda'*, then i started hangin out with Ray. we decided to do this swap, I fell in love with the power of the Inline 6. this is actually the second project i help him out with. we did a total swap on his 510 wagon in three days.
