For some reason, that story parallels my thoughts on that Acheiva I was going to look at. I never did just because that engine has never settled well with me. :? 3100s and 3400s just don't amount to a 3800 no matter how you look at it.

Damn, that'* crazy...and he spent so much money!!! I doubt most 3100s have that kind of bad luck....at least I've never heard of anything bigger than the intake gasket problem, which that engine obviously had.

He did mention, though, that the clueless owner had been topping off the coolant herself. She probably just grabbed the cheapest stuff she could find and poured it in there. That'* what my wife would do..... :?

Man, I can't believe that guy.... he must have really been enamored with that girl to dump $1000 into her car for a possible "happy ending." Sheesh.
