The only car I've seen in the ditch so far this year was a 4x4 (Some sort of Jeep). Keep in mind, 4x4 don't make you invincible. Better maybe, but not impervious to sliding..

and it doesn't help you stop either, even though I own a 4x4 other drivers in 4x4s are the ones I fear the most in the winter. Too many people think you can drive like an *** in them

Lets just say:

Pulley + Supercharger + 3800 = tires spin VERY easy.
Try having a V8, even in just the rain, with RWD and no traction control.

I have a snowboard and a sled, so snow is not so bad, on the other hand i have a dirt bike that is more fun to ride when not snowing and save the best for last a Bonneville that is way more fun to drive in dry ground

That'* my truck. Buy yourself some decent tires and practice driving it in bad weather.. Soon you'll find yourself correcting even before the slide happens.

And while you are fighting to stay in control..ask yourself "why did I get rid of a perfectly good low mileage car?"

Welcome to driving my 97 Chevy pick up.

Try towing something behind a truck with no 4x4, automatic, and v8 on snow/ice covered roads. Talk about life being interesting.......

I have a 91 Suburban (lifted, v1500, 4x4). Every vehicle has brakes on all 4 corners, trying to take off from a stop is a lot better and plowing thru more white stuff is easier, but it'* not invincible. The dude who got his Bonnie rear ended, who lives at my apartment complex, sold me 4 Bonnie rims and 4 studded tires I should be all set

Do you always handle your tires barefoot?

Yup They are still on the porch; I need to pull the old tires off the rims and mount the studs
