I have to say that video of the Smart car crashing opened my eyes a bit, pretty good hit that little thing took...

There'* just one problem I see,
They haven't tried side-impact, and I doubt it would do nearly as well.

They are pretty safe for their size.
There'* a reason crumple zones were invented... to lower forces on the body. Relying on the crumple zones of other cars puts the other car'* occupants at greater risk as well.

Did you notice that the Smart has the same if not larger diameter brake rotors as the Bonneville?

I don't look at cars with safety in mind. This is probably why I'd be screwed if I were ever in a side impact crash. There are many strange objects behind our door panels. I took out the door panels from both the front doors.

The Smart Car I would drive is the one with the Hayabusa engine hacked into it. Anyone seen these videos? They're all over Youtube and various other video sites. Just search for Hayabusa Smart Car.

Stich, ask the owner if this car truly was "Plan A."

I would actually drive one of those.
I wouldn't choose one over a Bonne, but as a second car for just like back and forth to work
