YES!!!!! Man I love it. Nothing better to wax someone with than an innocent looking Buick.
Back in the day I had a John Chamberlain built (he ran a "stock" 70 Stage 1 GS on that car show with the guy with the handlebar mustache and scared the fool out of him! ha ha)
Anyhow he and I built up a 1967 Buick Wildcat convertible.White with blue bench seat,Buick chrome road wheels (weighed like 300lbs each ha ha) even had fender skirts and one (BIG) single exhaust.
3000 RPM stall, Kenne-Bell window rattler cam ,Stage 1 1970 455 heads, recurved distrib, modified Quadrajet, port matched B4B aluminum intake (painted factory Buick red). Had a 2 piece drive shaft and would still ****** all 3 gears with 5 people on board. Top end was insane scary ha ha
Cannot count how many unsuspecting victums it took down, they would look a little concerned most of the time with the choppy idle until I said "oh has a dead plug or two and carb ain't right" Yeh RIGHT!!!

Damn I miss that thing

My wife was out of work for awhile, she was waiting for a different Clinic to work out of. Bills keep coming in and my retirement keep going down. I started doing electrical contracting again to stop the checkbook from hemorrhaging. She back "in Practice" and I'm trying to cutback my workload....can't seem to run out of projects.
I pretty much forced myself offline for a time because I'm an e-addict and getting up everyday at dawn didn't mix well.

Have to cut me some slack on that comment.literally took us decades to get a begrudging admission from other brands of our Buicks status in the musclecar world and I have never forgotten those days. I've had many Stage 1'* and even a lost R&D Experimental "Stage 3" (yes I know technically there was never a Stage "3") 4 bolt main engine and got a glimpse into what it COULD have been (why mess with good enough though?).can look it on on "buickstreet" or in link in my newbie post.
Anyhow in my day a brown or green, gold or white Buick GS was a sleeper. Now they are mainly investments except to us old dudes . I get mine paid for and running before our government finishes us off and I will be happy to provide a reminder of how strong they actually were.
The 70 I have now complete with rust is bamboo cream with painted harvest gold roof, saddle color bench seat interior with auto on column, factory 14" wheel and tires with little beany white walls dead stock quiet everything. Very innocent looking or maybe even called a sleeper to those unlike us here "in the know"
