Default the silverado hybrid

wow just looking at the Silverado and saw that they have a hybrid version

http://www.chevrolet.com/silverado/

The Silverado Hybrid features an engine start/stop system that automatically shuts the engine off to save fuel when braking at speeds below 13 mph — or when the vehicle is not moving. When the brake pedal is released, the accelerator is pressed or the Tow/Haul button is pressed, the engine automatically restarts.

This is hard to believe.
That would make it the first full-size hybrid pick up ever, right?

Silverado Hybrid is so intelligently built, its regenerative braking takes some of the energy from the moving vehicle and turns it back into electrical energy — which is stored in the Energy Storage Module.

thats good for a truck. 18mpg in town for a full size truck is damn good. Our F250 gets like <10 mpg in town.

So do the new Chrsyler HEMI'*, but they don't call it DOD. OT, those things turn in some pretty good highway economy #'* for a V8, in the mid to upper 20'* for MPG I think.
