What happens to a couple that are best friends when they break up? I say its over, relationship and friendship.

Well, if they're breaking up wouldn't that means that the love and compassion for one another is also broken? I don't think you would still be best friends at break up.

Now, being civil to one another is a different story. You can still be civil to the other person but not have to be his/her friend.

I beg to differ here. Most of my exes are still friends, and one is still a VERY close friend. It depends on the terms and cause of the breakup.

When I divorced my husband years ago we remained very good friends until the day he died. We just couldn't be married but we were great friends. Sure we had our moments here and there of arguments but ultimately we were there for each other when it really came down to it.

i would agree on the being civil to each other, however i know some couples that are better friends now then they were when dating. i also know some couples that gett along better living together, but everybody has their ways.

i know 1993 sle would mostly agree w/ me sometimes life just sucks w/ each other but u make it work, (amazing how physical affection can make or break a relationship lol )
