Should I buy this truck?? (or try too)
I found a truck at a small dealership just down the street. What do you guys think of it.
1994
GMC k1500
SLE package
Z71 Package
5 speed manual
4x4
extended cab
181,000 miles
little interior trim damage, but nothing hard ro replace
Black w/ grey cloth interior
350 v8
KBB priced it out somewhere around $6500, they are asking $4999.
I haven't test driven it yet or taken a close look inside, butI might go back a little later and do that.

i was looking at something similar to that before i looked at bonnies, yeah i like em, but for how much i drive, a truck is not cool. i was looking at an auto...price sounds good...whip up some pics and ill tell ya if id hit it
I'm looking for a winter beater... somethin' 4x4 and a bed for haulin stuff. Doesn't have to be pretty (hell, look at the truck I got now!).
I just went back and checked it out some more. Engine sounds GREAT! Engine bay is clean, and virtually no rust on it. The only things I found were the drivers seats blots were a little loose and the door handles / locks needed a little bit of TLC. Otherwise it was in decent shape. Even the AC was cold as hell.

You cant kill a 94, believe me I tried. I used to work for a company as a driver. We had a 94 3/4 ton with a 350. when I climbed into it for the first time, it had 16 miles. When I parted ways with that company in late 98, it had over 150k. Most of the time hauling a 2 axle 20 foot trailer. Sometimes I would have so much weight, I couldnt safely drive faster than 45 because of the heavy trailer. Got real goosey if we went any faster. repairs during that time included, brakes, battery, belt and a tie rod end. Oh yeah, tires and oil changes.
if you could get em to knock off 15 percent, might be a good deal. at least here in Oklahoma, its about 10 percent high LOL
