Believe me, I know...lol. Plus, it was cheaper besides.

I'm happy.

Cheaper? Place up town told us it would be $1200 for a 10'x12' shed. I could build a huge shed for that. But, I guess different places have different prices.

Not just materials. Depnding on where you live, you also got permits, inspections, licenses, etc....

You should put it on a slab of concrete. Ours is a prefabed one like yours and we're having an issue with animals burrowing underneath the flooring and living there.

I'm going to cut the floor out of mine, pour a concrete slab, and move the shed on top of it. I'll also anchor it to the concrete. Won't have a problem with those pesky skunks anymore.

Exactly. My town requires a ton of paperwork if you want to build your own. This includes a licensed engineering firm'* stamp of approval on the prints and foudation requirements that far exceed the pre-built requirements.

Plus, if I built my own, I had intentions of using better materials. Plus, in Florida right now materials have skyrocketed. My materials quotes were much higher than the total cost of the installed shed, not including the concrete slab the city would have required.

Build shed in country...easy. ; in city...not so easy...

You might have a point there and that is what I would have liked to do. Maybe once all approvals and everything are done, or if we have issues with armadillos (not skunks here, lol).

Wow I would love so small animals living under my shed. We have a 12x10 model by shedsUSA. they broke the window while delivering it but otherwise I am happy.
