Default Sebring TSI

I see a few of these around town. Was this just a special premium package such as wheels, interior, etc or is there some actual performance improvement compared to a standard Sebring?

Curious.

Touring, Limited, and TSi models get a small-displacement 2.7-liter V-6 engine that makes 200 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. The TSi gets the four-speed driver-interactive AutoStick transmission

The one exception is the TSi. With its sport suspension, standard anti-lock brakes, and AutoStick transmission, the TSi is the eye-opener of the range, instilling more immediate dynamic response from the Sebring than expected, leaving us wanting more engine. It'* quite entertaining to drive, though the rear wing may be a bit much for some buyers over 18 years old.

Well having owned a Sebring, I WANTED the TSi. However, I did NOT want that crappy 2.7L V6. It is basically a "looks" package as the Touring and Limited Sebrings had the same 2.7L.

It is a NICE looking Sebring though. The interior is gorgeous (though I never liked the design of the dash), and the exterior changes are slick. I removed my door moldings so it was just the metal of the door. The TSi also has no door moldings and it looks much cleaner. I've only seen one around town, a black one too. I saw it twice several months apart, but I'm certain it was the same exact one.

The spoiler on the back is nice too, I wouldn't call it a wing, it'* more of a "lip" spoiler, similar to the GXP style spoiler, but smaller.

When they pop or start developing a rod knock they then become a nightmare to deal with

And I'd love to see those guys set the timing on it

My brother has a really nice 2001 Sebring. He has a V6, but it'* not the 2.7, nor is it an automatic. He'* got the 3.0 (same ol engine as his 1989 New Yorker had, only with different intake, valve covers and some tuning to get another 65 hp out of it).
As for the TSi, I heard my brother say he wished they made a coupe with the TSi interior so he could swap the door panels -the seats should be a direct swap though.

They didn't have the 3.5'* in Sebrings until the most recent model came out.
