I use mine to blow the bad air out of the Salt Lake Valley when the temperature inversion gets unbearable. It'* not terribly portable, obviously, but air hose is cheap. Whatever you do, get a decent compressor and good impact gun. Not all impacts are created equal! Some cheaper ones won't have the torque required to bust a lug nut loose.

I did that for 2 reasons - first, having it out back frees up space in my garage and second, I don't want to hear that thing running while I'm in there working (so I make my neighbors listen to it). My father-in-law has his industrial-"strenth" (<==== athletic term) compressor inside his shop and I wet my pants every time that thing kicks on - you can't anticipate when it'* going to start.

Wow..I thought the compressor would kick on when the pressure dropped in the tank. Peein' yourself is a commonality among you Dew drinkers...

It'* not too bad in the summer - the air is dry out here and wet pants act like a personal evaporative cooler (swamp cooler). I'm sure Echo can verify that. Not so pleasant in the winter 'cause it tends to freeze up so you can't bend over to tie your shoes and the wife notices and makes smart comments like "Peed your pants again, didn't you?".
