Search Engine Websites and IE6 Problems
I had this happen to me too + there was an added search field in the tool bar. when I would turn it off it would come back with the next opened ie6 window. I ran spy bot and and it picked it up and squashed it.........no problems since.

Jim, I updated my Ad-Aware last week to the latest ver, build 6.181. Build 181 is really fast over the old build 161. After you install AdAware update the Ref file. The current one is Ref File 01228 27.10. 2003. I use both Ad-Aware and Spybot *&D. Put the word Google in the address bar then press Cntl+Enter and see what happens.

Check your hosts file in WIN98/ME/XP "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc" WIN-2K "C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc" There should just be 127.0.0.1 localhost. If you take anything out, I'm pretty sure you have to restart for the changes to take effect.
