Seagull hits windshield at 180km/h
How can you compare a bird hitting a fender at 140 kph to a bird hitting a windsheild at 180 kph? The bird hitting the fender will have a greater possibility of "skipping" off the fender as compared to a windshield. The larger sudden change in direction will create a larger reaction, as in an explode-o-bird on the windshield.

My only birdstrike was a lot bloodier, but far less damaging...I had a propeller spinning at 2200rpm in front of me to blenderize the bird before the goo hit the plexiglass.
40 kph isn't that much of a difference in speed.
Seagulls have serious bone structure, its potentially possible for a bird to generate that kind of damage to a windshield, but I don't think it would be so gorey. A bird hitting a fender or a windshield at moderate speeds (and 180kph is still moderate speed) would skip off, not go "kersplalt"
Little bugs go kersplat not seagulls.
Had the gull been coming in opposite directions at the same rate of speed, I'd buy it, but gulls do not fly at 180 kph.

Kinetic Energy = 1/2 x mass x velocity²
Velocity makes a bigger difference, being squared. It could also be how the bird hit, if it hit square-on, beak first, I could see that damage happening.

OK so if they whee going 150MPH witch the Evo can easily do
so thats 150 mph = 241.4016 kph
I think hitting anything like that at that speed will go SPLAT
